When Texas Governor Abbott and UT Austin deployed state troopers in riot gear to violently suppress a peaceful pro-Palestinian protest in April 2024 – arresting 57 students despite arresting officers questioning “What are they doing that’s illegal?” —Project TAHA, in partnership with ADC and MLFA, filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of UT Austin students whose First and Fourth Amendment rights were flagrantly violated. This isn’t just about four brave plaintiffs; it’s about protecting the constitutional rights of every student whose voice is being crushed by coordinated state repression. Our lawsuit seeks justice, reversal of retaliatory disciplinary actions, and meaningful accountability from both university and state officials.
Donate now before repression becomes routine on every campus.
